Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

A prescription or referral for physical therapy is not required for you to be seen in our practice; you can call us to make an appointment right now.

Having quick or immediate access to your physical therapist can often be the difference between your condition being acute or temporary and chronic.

You do not need to wait a week or more to be seen in our office. Often we have appointments available the same day or within 24hrs.

We encourage you to call us immediately if you experience an injury, have a problem you want us to help you solve or you have decided you no longer want to deal with the pain.

What can I expect from my visit?

The initial PT evaluation is 90 minutes in which the patient should be in loose fitted clothing to allow for free range of motion. The therapist will take time to hear the history of the injury and perform a movement assessment/screening followed by a full evaluation. The goal is to uncover the root cause of the problem to more effectively solve the underlying issue.

You will be prescribed a treatment plan accordingly which is designed to address the specific problems responsible for your pain and symptoms.

It is impossible to predict the exact number of visits you will need as everyone's individual challenges are unique. Physical Therapy is not a "quick fix" and you should expect to put in some work, however many people do feel relief within their 1st few visits.

You will receive a personalized treatment program for treatment and long term prevention of your condition so you can stay strong, healthy, and mobile without needing more pain medications, injections or surgery.

What types of health insurance do you accept?

Paramount Movement and Performance PT, LLC is a cash based "fee for service" provider, meaning we do not go through insurance companies. This allows us to offer you the most value for your treatments. There is a possibility you could potentially be reimbursed for your out of network contributions and if you wish to try, request a superbill be provided to you following your visit so you can submit to your insurance company.
